RaceQuip Driver Side Quick Release Safety Net
The RaceQuip Driver Side Quick Release Safety Net is a side helmet support net built to SFI 37.1 spec, giving drivers added head and arm restraint beyond a standard window net. Originally designed as a roll cage net for sprint car and midget chassis, it mounts cleanly to either side of the driver on full-size race cars as well. An extra-long ratcheting mount strap keeps tension locked in, while a quick release latch & link buckle lets you free the net fast for vehicle exit. Constructed from heavy-duty 1-inch polypropylene webbing with nylon thread stitching for long-term durability.

The RaceQuip Driver Side Quick Release Safety Net adds an extra layer of head and arm restraint that a standard window net doesn't provide. Originally engineered as a roll cage net for sprint car and midget chassis, it's equally effective mounted on full-size race cars as a side helmet support net — and despite the "driver side" name, it isn't side-specific, so it can be installed on either side of the driver depending on your cage layout and mounting points.
The net's main body measures 24" H x 46" W, with mount straps adding another 32" to the overall width once installed. An extra-long mounting strap on the front uses a heavy-duty ratchet to keep tension locked in throughout a run, while a quick release latch & link buckle lets the driver release the net quickly to clear the cage during an emergency exit.
Construction is heavy-duty 1-inch polypropylene webbing with nylon thread stitching, built using RaceQuip's jig-built process for consistent size, shape, and fit from one net to the next. The net carries an SFI 37.1 rating and is available in Black. It's a straightforward, durable upgrade for drivers who want additional containment beyond their primary window net, particularly in sprint car, midget, and other open-cockpit applications.
